The boys and I were lucky enough to be in town for little Mckell's blessing. Jake's little sister Nicole and her husband Courtland had the blessing at the Rabe home.
It was perfect. McKell is such a good baby. It makes me so jealous that I don't have one of those. Anyway, Courtland did a fabulous job on the blessing.
It is always so sweet to see a first time daddy praying for his little girl. There is something very special about girls. I hope to have one someday. Not any time soon though. I would die!
After the beautiful blessing we feasted on the most amazing food. Ann, Jake's mom, always knows how to throw a good party.
My boys were great. Luke pretty much stayed upstairs with me the whole time while Nolan was downstairs playing with all the toys. NOT!!! I went downstairs to see how he was doing and to get him something to eat and I found Sophie and him playing their Ipods. Isn't that totally ridiculous? They had a million toys to play with and they were both so content with their little games. What has technology done to my child.
Another special thing about this blessing was it was on Luke's first birthday. So sweet for them to share this day together. Because of that we left the Rabe's after the food and headed up to my house for more food and a make-shift cake. On the ride home Nolan and Luke were out! I quick snapped a shot of Nolan. Do you think I was dragging them everywhere?
We did it! The year of walking!
