My dear, sweet dad treated us to a day on the mountain. My favorite!!! I had been looking forward to this all year long. Since I wasn't able to last year, the anticipation was killing me. My dad, Jake, me, Eric, and Dan all went up to Snowbasin for a day. Oh Snowbasin, how I love thee.... I was a little nervous to get on my ski's since it had been two years. But I fell right back in to the swing of things, with a couple of tumbles here and there.
It felt amazing to be up on the mountain. I don't know what it is but I feel so relaxed when I'm skiing. I might not look like it but I really love being there. The cool crisp mountain air. Ahhhh.
The day started out great! We did a few runs and finally decided to head down Dan's run. Little did we know that it was all moguls. I don't do well in that kind of stuff. My dad and I were dying. My legs were burning and to be honest, it wasn't my favorite part of the day. After we finally got down the mountain, mostly just my dad and I, we said we wouldn't do Dan's run again. Because it was early in the season not much was open. Which meant a very crowded day. Regardless, we still had an amazing time! I love being with my family. Especially when it is skiing. I can't wait for my boys to learn. Thanks Padre for the passes and for being my ski buddy!
