So, I HAVE A JOB!!! Well, it's not much but I babysit my neighbors little boy twice a week while she teaches at Marquette. She has a really cute little boy named Harrison, but we call him Harry. Anyway, when Nolan use to play with the kids he was the one getting stepped on and slapped. Now it looks like Nolan is feeling a sense of power and likes to hit Harry on the head. I am trying to teach him to be soft with baby. I don't know how well it is working. Another teaching thing is Nolan has figured out how to make Harry cry. So he does it all the time. All Nolan has to do is bust out his fake cry and it automatically makes Harry cry. Then Nolan gets this sly grin on his face and waits and does it again. I really don't have a clue as to what you would do to discipline at this age. Pretty much I just look right at Nolan and make him look at me and say NO in a stern voice. I'm not one to spank my kid. Maybe eventually he will understand that what he is doing isn't nice. He normally is really good about not doing things if I tell him NO.
Now that Nolan has figured out how to get himself down off of things he is all over the place. I was in the kitchen yesterday morning putting the dishes away and noticed it was really quiet. Never a good thing. So I called his name and he didn't make a peep. I went down the hall and peeked in the bathroom and he had unrolled the entire toilet paper roll and was giggling to himself and then he took about 20 tissues out of the box. What am I going to do with this kid!!! What happened to my sweet little boy? No, it's not that bad. It really makes me laugh more than anything. I really enjoy him exploring around and trying new things. I think it's good for him. Plus, he is so much happier when he can explore. Having a kid has really helped my stress. I don't get bugged with the little things anymore. It's great! I love my Nolan!
