{where have i been this past week?}

GIRLS CAMP!!!!!!! That's right my friends. I was able to attend our wonderful Stake Girls Camp @ Mirror Lake. It was about 2 hours north west of where we live. Beautiful!!! It was so green and full of trees and all the critters you could imagine. Oh, and spiders that were huge!!!!
We were a little nervous when the drive up there was pretty much not visible. It was raining so hard that I could barely see where I was driving. Once we got there the rain was just drizzling. So we set up our tents as fast as we could before more rain came.
I along with Necia, my camp director, and Jessica were the main leaders that could make it. Jessica and Linda came up on Friday to take over. Thank you ladies!
Our first night there it rained so hard that almost everyones tents flooded in the whole camp site. I feel so bad for the Spanish Branch because they definitely got the worst of it. We shared a camp ground with the Spanish Branch and fell in love with them. Their girls were so positive and full of life!
Wednesday morning after we had tried to dry out our tents the best we could we headed out for our hike. I was in charge of the girls that had to go on the 5 mile hike. We rocked! We totally passed up the 3 milers like it was no big deal. The scenery was amazing! The trees were so tall. Awesome!
I just have to brag a little about my girls. They are all, except for Celia who couldn't make it, in the last picture. I have the BEST group of girls ever!!!! I hope they know that. I had a blast with them. I think camp really brings out a different side in people. These girls were so positive and happy the entire time. They mingled with other wards and had one of the cutest skits! I love you my Milwaukee girls!!! Camp was great. I hope next year will be just as good!
