{talk about a manly birthday}

I think this is the first birthday that Jake hasn't received a shirt or some sort of clothing item. This was a true mans birthday!
Jake has been talking about how much he hates our knives. We haven't liked them since we got them for our wedding, which was over five years ago, so I made a mental note and got them for him. He was so excited!
Then my parents were so clever in his gift too. When they were hear helping us with the baby back in December we were trying to do some projects around the apartment. My dad kept asking do you have a drill? Of course Jake sadly told him no.

Well, Jake didn't have to wait much longer. They remembered about it and got him a power drill for his birthday. What a gift! Now my man can do some work around the apartment. I am already thinking of some projects I can have him do.

Probably the funnest part of the day was opening the gift from my parents because inside the box were........packing peanuts!!!! Nolan had a blast! We couldn't keep him out of them.


I love the expression on Nolan's face in the last picture. He is just as excited as his daddy. He knows he will be helping out with daddy. Happy Birthday Jake!
