drum roll please...........

We finally had our ultra sound today!!!! Let me just tell you that this little munchkin is a mover. It took us about a half an hour to find out what the sex of the baby was. They were not wanting to cooperate. As the doctor was trying so hard to get the right view to determine the sex I saw it. She didn't even have to tell me. I blurted out right there...."it's a boy!" There was no denying it. He is all boy. Jake and I are so excited!!! Nolan is going to have a little brother!!!!!

The doctor that did our ultra was a third year resident so she had to have her supervising doctor come and look at all the measurements she took to make sure. He double checked a couple of them and then he looked over at us and asked how much Nolan weighed when he was born. I told him 6 lbs 7 oz. Then he said that the baby is measuring smaller than what my due date is. I didn't even want to hear the rest. He said that my baby is more likely due around the end of December instead of the 21st.
So here's what we think about it. Con's....supposedly I'm not actually 19 weeks now, ugh. Pro's....it will be alot less stressful for Jake when the baby comes because his tests will be over for sure. We were cutting it kind of close with the first due date. Second pro....I might actually be able to enjoy Christmas. Third pro....the baby hopefully won't be born on our anniversary. I don't want to share that day. Call me selfish. Nonetheless, we are so excited to have this little bundle of joy!
Everyone thought we were having a girl but Jake and I both had a feeling. Mine didn't come until I had a very real dream that we had another boy and his name was Luke. So that might be his name. Who knows? In the dream I even saw what he looked like. We'll see how accurate my dreams are. I'm so excited to see what he looks like. It's crazy that I am going to be a mother of two little boys!!! So fun. I'll wait to actually change my due date until my own doctor changes it and tells me. That means that I can pretend to be further along for another month. A girl can dream right?
