I have been reading one of Nolan's favorite books (Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb) a lot lately. When we read it I usually use my hand and drum along with the book. I didn't think anything of it.
Then just the other day Nolan found where all our pots and pans were and took them out one by one and started banging them all over the place. Music to my ears, right? It was so cute at first, thus the pictures, but now it is day 4 of this and I am going crazy!! He hits those pots so hard!
I don't know if he got the idea to bang things around from me or the book. Or maybe it just is what kids do. I'm guessing that last one is the right answer.
I probably should count my lucky stars that this is the worst thing he has done. Oh wait!!! On Friday night Jake was giving Nolan a tub. At the end of the tub we usually let the water drain completely out and then take Nolan out to dry off. Suddenly I hear, "Jill come in quick you gotta see this!!!!" I run in to the bathroom thinking Nolan had done something really cute and I missed it. But no...... he had POOPED in the tub!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! Jake and I could not stop laughing. I made Jake clean it up and just as Jake got the last bit of it he did it again!!!! Except this time he was leaning on his foot and pooped on his foot too!! Gross! I really hope this doesn't become a habit. We have done pretty good though considering this is his first time pooping in the tub and he is 13 months old. Can you tell I'm trying to look at the brighter side? Anyway, that is our funny story for the week. I still laugh about it when I think about it.
It was such an exciting day that after all of it Nolan and Jake were just tuckered out!! They sat and watched TV on the sofa for awhile to unwind themselves before bed. Pretty cute! I love my boys!
We did it! The year of walking!
