I can't even believe it! My Nolan boy is going to be turning ONE!!!!!!! People weren't kidding me when they said he'll grow up so fast. This year has given us a lot of new things.
First off, Jake and I were so lucky to have Nolan. Then we got all packed up and moved in with my parents to save some money before we moved next. After three "great" months we packed up again and headed off to "the land of the good earth." Yes, Milwaukee, where Jake started his first year in medical school. We were introduced to a great ward and have made the best of friends out here.
Through all of that Nolan has brought us more joy than can be explained. He makes us laugh everyday with his funny facial expressions and loud babbling. I love that he could spend hours with just one ball to play with. He is very observant. Since day one all he does is check stuff out. I thought it was weird when he never put things in his mouth, he would just study it, put it down and move on to the next thing. I see so much of Jake in his little personality. Thank goodness because if he were like me, we could be in trouble. Nolan is disciplined. If I tell him no, he most likely will give me a look but move on to something else. I love it!
I am so grateful that Heavenly Father has blessed me with my little Nolan. I am so spoiled. I love him so much and can't wait to see what the next year holds!!!
