Yes, that is right, Nolan got very sick over the holiday. The night of Thanksgiving Nolan woke me up at 4 am struggling to breath. I yelled to Jake and he starting taking Nolan's respiratory rate. (I think that's the term) It was not good. So we got everything together and headed off the emergency room. When we got there the nurse right away told us that he had Stridor. That is what they call it for infants but it is a type of Croup. So they took him back and two doctors checked him out. The nurse was right. They gave him a steroid to take the swelling down in his throat and a pop cycle to suck on to sooth his throat. They told us that he just needs to get lots of rest and stay very hydrated. He is doing better now. He still isn't sleeping very well at night because he can't breath, so we have to take him outside alot. That is what the doctor recommended. This whole experience made me appreciate my husband so much more. He is the all-knowing one. I am so blessed to have a husband that knows so much about babies and kids. We knew his job at Ogden Regional would come in handy some day.
Oh, funny comment of the day. The nurse said that Nolan had "light socket hair." I couldn't stop laughing. His hair just sticks straight up.
We did it! The year of walking!
