My sister Kim and her family came up to visit us and the Tyson's for conference weekend. We had a great time! They stayed with us on Friday night where we played a wicked game of settlers, Jake won of course. On Saturday we had a breakfast before conference with the friends of the cul-de-sac. There was some yummy food there. Thanks guys. After the breakfast we came back and listened to conference over the internet. Oh, how I miss good old Utah for the convenience of watching it on television.
After conference we headed over the the "Hotel Tyson." Jared and Leslie Tyson had us all over for dinner and then Kim and her family spent the night. After dinner the men headed off to the Priesthood meeting and the girlers just kicked back and relaxed while the kids slept.
On Sunday we watched conference from the Tyson's, mainly because they have the biggest TV ever and Leslie is an amazing cook. We had a blast with them. I've decided though, that it is ten times harder to give your full attention to conference when you have a 6 month old child. It was still so good to hear from our Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley and to hear who the new counselor was. Yeah for President Henry B. Ering! Hinckley couldn't have gone wrong with anyone in the Quorum of the Twelve. They are all amazing men. We love our church!
