All the pretty lights!!!

What is a summer without going to the fireworks. I don't think there has been a summer yet that Jake and I haven't gone to at least one show. It was so fun to take Nolan. He definitely wasn't ready for all the big booms and bright lights. Maybe next year he will like it a little better.
Nolan is starting to grab everything and immediately puts it in his mouth. He has really been enjoying his little wiggle worm play gym. He giggles almost the entire time. He loves his bouncer and when you hold him standing up. He never wants to sit down.
As for Jake and myself, we are just preparing to leave for Milwaukee. We leave in about 2 weeks now. I can't believe it is already here.
All of the nurse's Jake works with threw him a bbq on friday. We had a great time. Nolan was great and loved everyone who held him. All the people Jake worked with are going to miss him and he will miss them as well.
We have been so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives. We are trying to soak in every moment!

Family photo time!

This was Nolan's first encounter with fireworks. He really seemed to love it at first, but then....

This was Nolan five seconds later. He cried the entire show. I felt bad, but we couldn't stop laughing. It was so cute!

Check out this face.... He is pulling some pretty crazy faces at such a young age. I get just a little camera happy.

We gave Nolan a chew toy to play with and when we put it on his face he would try to eat it all. His mouth would open sooo big. He is learning how to grab and put things to his mouth right now. How exciting.

We have been giving Nolan lots of time in his bouncer. We want him to be big and strong with his neck and legs.

We had Nolan in the doorway in his bouncer when we saw this snail stuck to the door. We picked him up and started playing with him. I thought it was pretty funny to hit his eyeball and watch it go in and out of his head.

This is our good friend Jill. She has the most adorable little twins Aiden and Avery. They are only a week younger than Nolan. I think that they are going to be life long buddies.

We went to the 24th of July fireworks @ Weber State. Grandpa Rabe couldn't get enough of his two grandbabies. Can you blame him?

Here is the old gang back together to say bye to Ben. We went to the pizza factory at the new solomon center. It was so much fun to see everyone again!

Tummy Time

Nolan is doing so well with tummy time. We do it at least three times a day. I can't believe that he has already rolled over! He is growing up too fast:( We have so much fun with him. He especially loves his dad right now. I think that is so special for him to bond with Jake. Nolan loves it when Jake blows on his tummy. He giggles with delight. Nothing new has really happened. We are just counting down to when we have to move. It is coming in less than 3 weeks. Hopefully we will have visitors.....

I was burping Nolan and he spit up all over and then rubbed his face all in it. We couldn't stop laughing!

This is my good friend Melissa Jenkins. She is due on August 2nd with her first. She is having a girl and they are going to name her Kate. Isn't that too cute?!

Bouncie, bouncie, bouncie

Nolan has just learned how to hold himself up enough to play in his door bouncer. He loves it. His favorite thing to do is have one of us bounce him up and down. He just giggles with joy. He is such a happy baby. Thank heaven....

The boy just having fun outside. Nolan loves to go outside.

So cute!

Oh, the Rabe boys together for the last time. Ben is leaving for school on the 20th and Jake leaves on august 1st. The boys are growing up so fast!

We had a very fun family vacation to San Diego and San Clemente California. Nolan had his first encounter with the ocean and love it! When i stood him on the sand he would move his little toes through the sand and make all kinds of sounds. He thought it was pretty cool. We had a great time with Kim, Dan and their kids. They are doing an internship in San Diego for Dan. He is going to be finishing up his last year of Law School. Way to go Dan! Then we also spent some time with my Uncle Phil and Aunt Diane. They live in San Clemente, one of my favorite places to visit. Nolan had a blast with them and they treated us well. Nolan got to meet some of my cousins and their kids. So I guess that would be his second cousin. I don't know. Either way the trip was a success. We were able to laugh about the good old days and make many more memories. Nolan did the best a kid could be being in a car for 14 hours straight. We can't get enough of him. It is so much fun being a parent and seeing your child grow. I think we are going to have our hands full with this one. Well, catch you on the flip side....

This was another fun day at the beach. We went to Coronado. It is amazing. The beach feels like it goes on forever!

This is my uncle Phil and my aunt Diane. They are my favorite! We have so much fun when we are with them. Oh, and there are my parents. My mom broke her foot three weeks before this vacation. Bummer!

Look at that face. How can you resist that.

Kim, Dan, Ashton, and Charlie. The Vause family photo.

This is one of my favorites. I think they look so handsome.

The Rabe Family's first official "family picture." So fun!

We had so much fun doing family pictures this year. Here we are at Dana Point in California. The waves and ocean were beautiful. And the kids did so well with picture time.

This is my cousin Kelly and her two adorable kids. Abby is a rambunctious little girl. The reason she is only in her underwear is because she decided to go pee in the backyard in her dress. It was so funny!

Do you know how hard it is to get a picture with everyone smiling at the camera? This was the best we could do. Here we are with my parents and my sister and her family.

And they are off to the fishes!

Here is Jake ready to go snorkling with the guys. He's my own big fish.

We had so much fun on the beach while daddy went snorkling. Nolan loved to feel the sand in his toes. That's my kind of kid...

Nolan does the coolest thing for his age. He will walk just about anywhere if you hold him by his arms. He has been doing that since about one month old! What a go getter.....

Grandpa Russell is holding Kim's little boy Charlie. He is so much fun.

You can barely see but Jake was having a body surfing contest with my Dad and Dan the man. It was so much fun to watch.

The sunset was so spectacular. I really miss the ocean.

Here we are with my sister Kim and her little boys Ashton and Charlie. It was kind of hard to get Ashton to pay attention. You know how they are at 2.

The Pacific Ocean was beautiful! I think that this picture is amazing. Look how big Nolan is getting already!
